The Team

Ashley Shaddock

Ashley began in the equestrian world at 11 years old. She wasn’t born in the stables, but as the popular phrase says, she got there as fast as she could. By the age of 14 she started showing an interest in learning about all aspects of the equine industry and how to care for her new favorite animals. She started working at her first stable hand job, at 14, and has worked at and managed various farms since.

Ashley took a business equine management program at a US University, with a focus on the anatomy and nutrition of horses. Follwing that, she completed her Bachelor of Commerce with a major in accounting at the University of Guelph, and subsequently obtained her CPA designation to round off her business management capabilities.

In addition to Ashley’s schooling, she has been riding for nearly 25 years with a focus on prepping horses for the hunter and jumper show rings. Showing for several years on both trillium and ‘A’ s as well as catch riding whenever a fellow show teammate was having a hard time. For some time now, Ashley has taken a break from the show rings to focus on developing her horse management and training skills, working with many green horses both on the ground and under saddle, and always focusing on giving the horses the confidence the need to become willing partners.

Ashley began opening her doors to boarders January of 2016 at her newly constructed facilities, and has since shifted her focus to only training her personal horses with the goal of advancing them to the show ring.
